“Potsdamer Platz was once one of Berlin’s liveliest squares. Then, during the Cold War, it was a gray desert, divided by a high Wall. Today, it is transparent, boldly modern and a symbol of renewal.
A few steps further on, at the Sony Centre, architecture also attempts to sweep away history. Glass and light, water and steel: the future is a colorful firework display.
